“””On Ti Chuka”” Is Welcome from the Coushatta American Natives” whom along with other American Natives Tribes grow this Native American Heirloom Pumpkin ian is one of the oldest field pumpkins in existence today and still being use as a Winter Vegetable, Farm Animals feed, Pie filling, jack o'lantern with the nutritional seeds as a good old American snack. Grown by the North American Indians before European settlements in the United States, this Connecticut Field produces nice yields of 15 to 25 lb. globe shaped deep orange yellow pumpkins, with yellow flesh thick walls . My visit to the Coushatta Indian Reservation in 2009 confirms the research. Plant produces good yields of large pumpkins. The flesh can be eaten boiled, steamed, roasted or baked.
