Indian Stripe Heirloom Tomato Seeds From Arizona & Texas.
These very old Heirloom Black tomatoes are thought to be a distinct strain of Cherokee Purple from Cherokee Native Americans: but found growing in Arizona. This Black heirloom Tomato grows on tall tomato plants and produces very high “Yields of Large Tomatoes” than the Cherokee Purple. First by Clyde Burson, who was in his 80’s, for many years before he died. The Large Tomatoes are slightly heart-shaped, very dark on the side of a purplish color with green shoulders "some green striping" and regular leaf foliage with fruit 6-12. This is a very Large Black Tomato with green striping that is not present on most of the fruit until holding them in the sunlight, then you can see all strips, and has been delicious to our Summer Customers for years here at Angel Field. Many American Farmer and botanists want Donna Nelson of Texas for bringing these rare heirloom seeds for proper documentation in 1980 who grow them near her relative’s home in Arizona. The seeds were then given to the famous Carolyn Male many years ago. Indeterminate, 86 Days
