Connecticut Field Pumpkin Seeds
“”” On Ti Chuka”” Is Welcome from the Coushatta American Natives” who along with other American Natives Tribes grow this Native American Heirloom Pumpkin is one of the oldest field pumpkins in existence today and is still being used as a Winter Vegetable, Farm Animals feed, Pie filling, jack o'lantern with the nutritional seeds as a good old American snack. Grown by the North American Indians before European settlements in the United States, this Connecticut Field produces nice yields of 15 to 25 lb. globe-shaped deep orange-yellow pumpkins, with yellow flesh thick walls. My visit to the Coushatta Indian Reservation in 2009 confirms the research. The plant produces good yields of large pumpkins. The flesh can be eaten boiled, steamed, roasted, or baked. The seeds can be roasted high in protein, beta carotene, potassium, Vitamin C, and a whole range of B Vitamins. (110 days)
